The exhibition “FABRIK – Season 3. Montage” is the third part of the exhibition series that began in March 2022. The series, with the “What was?” of Season 1 and the “What now?” of Season 2, now converges and settles into the foundation of Season 3: “What if?”

This time, the exhibition materializes references to the former embroidery industry and the factory’s use as a production site for various branches of industry, making them visible to the viewer.

The works on display, for example, take the word “montage” as a starting point to focus on the “refinement” of a product. Some works reveal serially produced practices, others explore questions of the final touch, the creation of unique pieces, or engage with the idea of the “non finito.”
